GongLab Winter Solstice

Price: $35 or $40 day-of

An amazing experience of guided meditation, relaxation, cleansing, and sound. Not to be missed! This time celebrate the Winter Solstice with us!

“For some the experience is meditative, other’s emotional, even transcendent, but in all circumstances it is a powerful and unforgettable event.”
Gong Lab is best known for its deeply transporting blend of guided visualization, healing sound, hypnotic percussion, and otherworldly vocals. Each session carefully creates a protected space to disengage from stress and pain, so that the deep relief, bliss, and nurturance of reconnecting with the body’s natural revitalizing energies can be experienced.
The evening begins by candlelight with a direction of intention and guided meditation as participants, reclining comfortably on the floor, are ushered into a spiraling cocoon of luminous sound. The shimmering reverberations of the Earth Gong create sound pressure waves that travel through the connective tissues which form one continuous network into all parts and systems of the body down to a cellular level. These multi-tonal frequencies facilitate the movement of “chi” or “prana” in the body and initiate the release of blocked energy that can often manifest as fear, fatigue, depression or illness. As this energetic recalibration takes place we experience the kind of reorganization of our inner resources that can help us transcend the challenging situations in our daily lives and access new templates for being.
Participants will lay comfortably on the floor for most of the experience. Please bring a mat, blanket, pillow, and any items in support of your deepest clearing and relaxation.

Yoga Nidra is a powerful and transformative yet easily accessible practice. This easy practice requires no more than to lie down comfortably and listen. There is no way to do it wrong and the effects are powerful. Through the use of guided imagery, breath awareness and body scanning; Yoga Nidra helps alleviate not only muscular tension, but also mental and emotional stress, as those being guided switch on the parasympathetic nervous system – the relaxation response.

Yoga Nidra—known as Yogic Sleep—is a meditation and conscious relaxation practice that is intended to induce total physical, mental, and emotional relaxation.

Yogic sleep is the perfect antidote for the demands we face in this time of frantic pace and nervous system over-stimulation. The practice of Yoga Nidra transfers you to a state of harmony, health and well-being.

Aside from being relaxing, restorative and restful, studies have shown that Yoga Nidra can also:

Ease insomnia

Decrease anxiety

Alleviate stress

Reduce PTSD, chronic pain and chemical dependency

Heighten awareness and focus

Transform negative habits, behaviors and ways of thinking

Foster feelings of peace, calm, and clarity

In this course you will learn about the energetic system of the Koshas, which we will use as the framework for creating our Yoga Nidra scripts and journeys. You will learn how to guide your students though the Koshas (or five layers of being) to a state of deep rest and relaxation.kvweee As they journey through up to 7 stages of the meditation they will tap into the subconscious and unconscious minds, and move towards the ultimate goal… remembering who they truly are as a human being and tasting bliss.

*This course qualifies for (21) Yoga Alliance C.E.U.’s

Sound Bath

SOUND BATH MEDITATION with HEATHER FOX + YOGA NIDRA with ADRIENNE WHITE

A sound bath can be described as “a concert for the soul.”  It is an experience in which crystal singing bowls and gongs are played together to promote a more relaxed mind, body and spirit.  The calming sounds guide listeners through a journey of inner exploration that promotes deep relaxation and peace, expansion of consciousness, and helps to open the body’s energetic system.  A sound bath can help lessen anxiety, stress and depression, and promote creativity. Each sound bath experience is unique – sometimes more physical sensations are felt, other times it feels like an emotional journey, or it may be visual with people will see colors, shapes, or images similar to a waking dream. To deepen that experience, this sound bath will be paired with a dream inducing mediation called yoga nidra (or yogic sleep) by Adrienne White.  Most people leave a sound bath feeling relaxed and rebalanced and recharged.
