Summer’s wrapping up and it’s time to prepare the body and mind for the coming fall season. On Sunday, September 22nd from 11a-1p come for this two hour Asana and mediation practice to move, twist, stretch, and flow- working with the body’s natural systems of detoxification. Clear the mind with a deep Yoga Nidra meditation. After practice we’ll drink a delicious tea and you have the option to add a 4-day organic juice cleanse (with all the local harvest fruits and veggies!) for $150. Want to go deeper? We will coach you after the Juice on an optional 24 hour water/24 hour dry fast, then coach you through your “re-feed”. How deep you want to go is completely up to you!
Join Jeremy and Nancy for a supported, breath centered Restorative Yoga practice paired with soothing and healing sounds. The fusion of sound, stillness, and breath will leave you feeling deeply relaxed and rejuvenated. The vibrational experience includes the sacred sounds of the handpan, didgeridoo, multiple gongs, chimes, crystal singing bowls and more.
Discover the bliss of surrender as Nancy guides your journey through nurturing restorative shapes supported by blankets, bolters, and blocks. The evening will culminate with a long and inviting savasana as you allow yourself to be carried away by a deep, multi-instrumental experience with enchanting, ethereal sounds.
All are welcome, no prior experience with yoga necessary.

Are you new to kettlebells? Have you been eyeing the cannonball-with-a-handle for a while now but not sure where or how to start? Maybe you’ve had access to them but they seem to hurt your back every time you do them. Whatever the case; if you’re a beginner or intermediate trainee this is the workshop for you! Kettlebells won’t be the only thing you’ll learn during the 3-hour course, you can expect the following:
Alignment: this is, perhaps, the biggest benefit of this workshop; learn how to position yourself for basic exercises including Push-ups, Pull-ups, Planks, etc.
Compression techniques and strength-stretching
The basic kettlebell movements: Goblet/Front Squats, Swings, Get-ups, Cleans, Military/Push Presses, One-Arm/Double Swings, and the Snatch (or progressions towards it)
Q&A after the session for at least an hour
The point of this workshop isn’t to leave you a sweaty mess…although most will find it very challenging; we want you to walk away with skills that you can readily apply right away to your own practice!

Tuesdays, 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the gallery The Art of Yoga is a continuation of the current Krasl exhibit; Body Language. April 16th- May 21st
Since our bodies tell our stories and our issues are in our tissues- coming to this 6-week yoga class series, The Art of Yoga w/Adrienne White, will bring you directly to the language of your body and stories it’s trying to tell. Yoga is an art and science and Adrienne, owner of The Collective in Benton Harbor, considers both from her 30 years of personal yoga practice and her 1200+ hours of training as she teaches. Learning to move your body fluidly and gracefully is an art; and the physical and health benefits of these practices are, now, very well documented by science. Whether you are a true beginner or have an established practice, learning or returning to the ABC’s of yoga: asana (physical practice), breath, and concentration (not to mention it’s conversation with the body) is truly an art unto itself.
Come relax with the beautiful sound of the singing bowls and yoga nidra meditation.
Once you’re deep in your meditative state you’ll enjoy sound healing through singing bowls calibrated to the Chakras.
What is Yoga Nidra?
Yoga nidra is often referred to as "yogic sleep," a paradoxical state of being between sleep and consciousness that's conducive to deep emotional and physical healing, rewiring your brain, and self-exploration.
What are singing bowls?
Crystal bowls, also called crystal singing bowls, are made from quartz crystal that was crushed and heated at very high temperatures. Even bowls made from quite rare crystals such as apophyllite, azeztulite, kunzite or moldavite are available from some crystal bowl retailers. Crystals will bring their own unique properties to the healing sound of the crystal bowl.
Five-Course meal with a paired cordial and/or vape with each course. Chef Audy’s menu is created from seasonal foods, touching on various cuisine from southern comfort to ethnic flavors found around the world.
The dinner experience begins with an “amuse bouche” to whet your appetite during the communal “passing of the peace session”. Choose your menu courses containing Primal Roots meat local grass-fed meat or the option for Chef Audy’s specialty; vegan and vegetarian plant-based cuisine.

“For some the experience is meditative, other’s emotional, even transcendent, but in all circumstances it is a powerful and unforgettable event.”
Gong Lab is best known for its deeply transporting blend of guided visualization, healing sound, hypnotic percussion, and otherworldly vocals. Each session carefully creates a protected space to disengage from stress and pain, so that the deep relief, bliss, and nurturance of reconnecting with the body’s natural revitalizing energies can be experienced.
The evening begins by candlelight with a direction of intention and guided meditation as participants, reclining comfortably on the floor, are ushered into a spiraling cocoon of luminous sound. The shimmering reverberations of the Earth Gong create sound pressure waves that travel through the connective tissues which form one continuous network into all parts and systems of the body down to a cellular level. These multi-tonal frequencies facilitate the movement of “chi” or “prana” in the body and initiate the release of blocked energy that can often manifest as fear, fatigue, depression or illness. As this energetic recalibration takes place we experience the kind of reorganization of our inner resources that can help us transcend the challenging situations in our daily lives and access new templates for being.
Participants will lay comfortably on the floor for most of the experience. Please bring a mat, blanket, pillow, and any items in support of your deepest clearing and relaxation.

Yoga Nidra is a powerful and transformative yet easily accessible practice. This easy practice requires no more than to lie down comfortably and listen. There is no way to do it wrong and the effects are powerful. Through the use of guided imagery, breath awareness and body scanning; Yoga Nidra helps alleviate not only muscular tension, but also mental and emotional stress, as those being guided switch on the parasympathetic nervous system – the relaxation response.
Yoga Nidra—known as Yogic Sleep—is a meditation and conscious relaxation practice that is intended to induce total physical, mental, and emotional relaxation.
Yogic sleep is the perfect antidote for the demands we face in this time of frantic pace and nervous system over-stimulation. The practice of Yoga Nidra transfers you to a state of harmony, health and well-being.
Aside from being relaxing, restorative and restful, studies have shown that Yoga Nidra can also:
Reduce PTSD, chronic pain and chemical dependency
Heighten awareness and focus
Transform negative habits, behaviors and ways of thinking
Foster feelings of peace, calm, and clarity
In this course you will learn about the energetic system of the Koshas, which we will use as the framework for creating our Yoga Nidra scripts and journeys. You will learn how to guide your students though the Koshas (or five layers of being) to a state of deep rest and relaxation.kvweee As they journey through up to 7 stages of the meditation they will tap into the subconscious and unconscious minds, and move towards the ultimate goal… remembering who they truly are as a human being and tasting bliss.
*This course qualifies for (21) Yoga Alliance C.E.U.’s
